Ethnic flutes
We offer you traditional Hulusi flutes, also called gourd flutes. They are originally made from reeds or bamboo mainly in China and Vietnam, by the Shan and the indigenous people of Assam. It consists of three connected pipes, the central one having finger holes. All the tubes mouth into the gourd section, which is blown into. Additional side pipes may have further holes, giving the flute a range of several octaves. The Hulusi is very popular because of its clear, mellow clarinet sound.
