How to play kalimba
Place the kalimba in your hands and use your thumbnails to sound the metal tongues, you will be surprised by the softness and warmth of the tones, the relaxing effects of the instrument and the vibrations that penetrate your body.
There are 2 holes on the back of the instrument, which you can alternately cover and uncover while playing to achieve a wah-wah effect. Kalimbas are designed for complete beginners as well as musicians and music therapists.
Tuning the kalimba
Tuning is very easy using the tuning hammer included in the delivery:
1. Use a tuning fork - place it near the instrument (you can also use a downloaded mobile app, a clip-on tuner, a classic tuner). The tongues show the individual notes in C major.
2. If you need to lower the tone, gently tap the hammer on the metal slice from above so that the tone on the tuner is in the desired range.
3. If we need to increase the tone, gently tap the metal slice from below with the hammer so that the tone on the tuning fork is in the desired range.
Maintenance:
Do not store the tool in damp conditions or near heat sources. Wipe the tool with a dry cloth.
