String instruments
The history of stringed instruments dates back to prehistoric times, when man first strung the bowstring, which made a primitive sound. Since then, instruments have been continually improved, with King David using their positive effects to relax and unwind. Over 2000 years, various forms of stringed musical instruments have been developed. Today, many of them are increasingly used for therapeutic purposes because of their undeniable effects on the human body. Much time has passed since Pythagoras constructed the monochord and stringed instruments have made great progress. Pythagoras, using his ear and one string of his monochord, discovered the mathematical relationships of harmony, taught his pupils to recognize sacred sounds, and initiated them into the secret processes of psychic transmutation and healing through music. For them, music was mathematics and the universe was music.
